New Apple MacBook Air family with 3G and cheaper model - sources

Apple could be readying a new very attractive MacBook Air family of notebooks recent sources indicated SiliconRumors.

The most notable feature our sources expect to be added to the new MacBook Air is a built-in 3G modem allowing connectivity to high-speed cellular networks.

Interestingly, sources hinted us at a new entry price ranging between $1300 and $1500 which clearly suggests a new and possibly smaller model could be part of the next generation MacBook Air family.

SiliconRumors also learned that the new MacBook Air could feature SSD (Solid State Drive) storage in its standard configuration accross the line. Possible but considered as less likely is the inclusion of a GPS (Global Positioning System) chip, sources said.

Such big improvements on the MacBook Air product family will not only differentiate them from the other MacBooks but could -if the assumptions we make on the new entry price are confirmed- eventually bring a first response to the fast growing netbook market which Apple still has to address.

Macs are a bit more

Macs are a bit more expensive, but I think for the quality of the product, I would spend the money vs pc's. And I think the new model line is a good improvement.

The Macbook Air is awesome. I just wish Apple did not price their products so much. Apple is the best.
